Wow, interesting. As you can see, I have the Overview as part of the HTML window too, but I can't imagine downloading the right fonts etc. for all of them. How do you even know the right font?
Before I retired, I was heavily into printing, computers and desktop publishing for over 40 years so I have a decent knowledge of fonts and resources to find them. | Posted: Topic Replies: 3, Topic Views: 131 |

Actually, I thought of a better way: downvote then block. | Posted: Topic Replies: 6, Topic Views: 762 |

Excellent, Backup goes to the file and folder I sent it to. But, export does not, it sends it to a file DVDP in the root folder. | Posted: Topic Replies: 49, Topic Views: 31022 |

It works now, but the backup and export events will not put the files in the folder I choose. It puts them in the root of the disk. It also will not use the date string in the filename so I am renaming them after. DvdpScheduler 270 did. | Posted: Topic Replies: 49, Topic Views: 31022 |

I personally still give all of them Negative Rating. Although yesterday was a tad excessive. I almost ran out of Negative responses I could give.

Quote: Yes, it's sad to see that the programs get no updates and that the website isn't functioning as well as one would want. But still the desktop program and the iOS app on iPad work fine for keeping track of my discs. I don't buy very many new titles, and I may have to enter them myself rather than download them, but I can live with that. As long as these programs work, I'm sticking with DVD Profiler, because I haven't found anything that is nearly as good. "Ditto" | Posted: Topic Replies: 11, Topic Views: 3671 |

I don't know where, but Ken said if the 1st number is larger, that wins, in this case [Gérard Bonn=6/48]. The only time the 2nd number wins is if they 1st numbers are tie. | Posted: Topic Replies: 3, Topic Views: 1599 |

Extremely disappointing, but I still give them a negative. | Posted: Topic Replies: 3, Topic Views: 1760 |

This just downloads the complete online profile list, you still need to Refresh Updated Profiles as usual. This is the way to accomplish the updates and it works every time. Be patient when you do the first step. | Posted: Topic Replies: 68, Topic Views: 13809 |

Quote: For example "The Princess Bride" Blu-ray and DVD using AnyDVD gives you one number; Add by DVD Disc ID gives another and DiscIdCheck gives another. Odd, when I tested, Add by Disc ID and DiscIdCheck gave the same result. You didn't have AnyDVD running, by any chance? I added a check for that in version 1.1, but it's not in 1.0, if that's the version you used.
Welcome to the Disc Id roulette! It reminds me a bit of the old joke - The best thing about standards is that there are so many to chose from! I have tried it with and without AnyDVD running. I do use run as administrator, for all programs (plugins) or without for all involved. I do use HTTPJolie. I am using 1.1.
There is just no combination that gets the same DVD Disc ID in the Blu-ray parent, the DVD Disc and the UPC Disc ID together on the same page. Unless there is another scenario I haven't tried. | Posted: Topic Replies: 14, Topic Views: 7675 |

My brain hurts trying to figure this out. For example "The Princess Bride" Blu-ray and DVD using AnyDVD gives you one number; Add by DVD Disc ID gives another and DiscIdCheck gives another. If you try to update the Blu-ray parent to include the DVD child you cannot get the Disc ID from DiscIdCheck to match. I think I will keep using AnyDVD as long as it lasts and worry about it when it quits working.
We can all thank Microsoft for this ridiculous thing. A Disc ID should be whatever it is all the time, not one thing when using one piece of software or something else when using another.
And lastly, I wish someone could give a definitive answer as to what is correct and how to get all the pieces to fit together for parent and children. | Posted: Topic Replies: 14, Topic Views: 7675 |
