For those who don't know, the Lord of the Rings Case is magnetic.

And the case is not a Box but a Slip Case.

The Complete Avengers 50th Anniversary Edition is a Box. Bond 50 Complete Film Collection is a Box.

If I take a look at this picture ...

By definition (for purposes of DVDP), the slip case is a box that holds more than one case. From looking at that James Bond set, there is just the one fold out binder (or w/e).

So the parent profile Case Type should be "Slip Case". Or am I missing something here?

Fully agree on SlipCase
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Are you talking about "The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy Extended Editions"? The one that holds the three HD Keep Cases?

With a picture of the new James Bond Boxset right above the statement?
Obviously not!

You can find more information about Slip Cases here. Eg you'll find out that the top right cover in the picture is a Slip Case, while the top left case is a Slip Cover.

Hello everyone.

Those really, really simple CD sized cardboard covers that individual DVDs sometimes come in, are they Slip Cases or Envelopes?  This sort of thing, where it’s not then contained within a box or case or anything else, it's just a stand-alone DVD and cover.

I thought they’d have been considered Envelopes, but then I read this and the first line seems to suggest they’re Slip Cases.

Thoughts?

Paul
Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it?  Guttermouth "Lemon Water".  Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally.  So I'm an anarchist, deal with it.  Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted...

I'm a little bit confused on when to use the "Box" case type, exactly. For instance, is this one? It's a cardboard box with a lid that holds nine individual keepcases.

Hello,

In the first post, the 2 pictures to show "box" case type have been removed. Does anybody have some example of box case type because for a profile, I don't know if I need to choose digipack with slip cover or box.

You can find the cover on the amazon site here

The case type opens from the bottom and inside there is a manga book, the digipack with the blu-ray and dvd bonus.

Thanks.
Regards
Cyrille

Hello,

I got a keep case with 4 movies in.
How do I add it to my collection?
Do I add all 4 movies seperatly by the disc id as childs or should I add the information of all 4 movies to the parent, using dividers for cast and crew?

Grtz,
Mitch.

That's definitely a 'box' surely?
