Maybe attach a hidden field to record the UPC associated with that specific title? Just throwing out idea's. And who would be maintaining this list of UPC and awards (there are quite a few!). This would be a local feature at best. Even then I do not think that this is a good idea. Everybody would have to assign all their movies the awards themselves. I think the few exceptions of not displayed awards is a small price to pay to have a universally usable award database (usable across all regions and releases of the same movie).

Just throwing out idea's. No. It would currently either mean having to have a single extra line of data for every different UPC or adding a list/array field which could slow down the whole thing. It would also mean that files would have to be constantly updated with new UPCs and the award would not be visible for users with a different UPC. Unless you wanted to add the UPC without actually checking it's validity but that makes even less sense. If you want to have a dvd award list this would be possible. Tom would have to adjust his plug-in (make new one) that has a upc-based database and displays awards on a upc basis. But the updating of the lists would still be horrible | | | - Jan |

I will gladly add any alternate titles / spellings and update the file As I have often mentioned: I always welcome those corrections. Only one title is relevant for the award data pool: The title you would enter as original title according to DVD Profiler rules. Sure, I just thought that it's actually unnecessary workload for you as you're not the actual maintainer of that file. But then again you can possibly easily add the new alias to all files | | | - Jan |

There are a lot false positives, believe me. I will give the "check year" idea some thoughts. Thanks. You could combine my idea with the turn on/off year checking idea by allowing to turn the usage of this field on or leave it like it was (always checking). | | | - Jan |

Make the corrections with the award editor and save/export the award to file. This way I have it easy to compare and accept these changes to my online data pool.

I will definetely give it some thought. If I implement this, there will of course be the need to update all awards.

| Posted: | | | | Probably not a big deal, but I received import errors on both the MTV and Teen Choice files. I believe MTV was line 877 and Teen Choice was 177. Just an FYI. |
