| Posted: | | | | Droid_DVDP.apk beta 0.2 was OK to create the smartphone (a Samsung Galaxy II with Orange lock) application. the file setup 0.4 created the right plug-in. File was sent to the Samsung by a mail to my gmail address, with the .apk file attached. Then replacing, using the USB cord, the droid_dvdp.db file made by the DVD Profiler plugin on the PC, to the Samsung G2 orignal droid_dvdp.db file in the "database" directory was OK and it worked on its first try. Nice to have when browsing a DVD store! Bravo to the author. Unclemib - May 6th, 2012 |

OK. the 0.3 apk is real buggy. The link below should get you to the current sky drive and the beta 0.2 apk
https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=cf274d07b27363fd&resid=CF274D07B27363FD!843&id=CF274D07B27363FD!843
With the version 0.4 plug-in and the 0.2 apk you should be good to go!
Dave Thanks, I have replaced the 0.3 apk with the 0.2 from the above link and it now seems to be working on my SGS2 under stock ICS 4.0.3. I am still using the 0.4 plugin but that seems to be ok. I can now select my DVD's without a force close. |

Put the files in my dropbox folder on the PC and exported them from the app on android and then installed the apk from the file explorer. |

| Posted: | | | | I want to report a small bug.
unfortunnaly, I will talk about french name of fields.
When the date field "date de sortie" (just after country) is empty in DVD Prfiler. In DVD profiler mobile, the date is seen like : 1899-12-30 | | | Android 5 Samsung Galaxy S5 |

| Posted: | | | | Hey, i take a look on your app and i have to suggetions 1. The Wishlist, why it is in the Full Collection? I don't own this movies and if they are in the same list it confuses me. 2. Can you make the Boxsets like in the DVD Profiler with an "+"? Because some people mean thata disc from a series is Box set content So at the time i can not take the "Full Collection" and i have to mark first my collection and then i can export. it is always hard work and takes time that i don't want to use to get my collection on my DHD. best regards Shona |

| Posted: | | | | Oliver is working on several things in his limited time.
I have a feeling box sets will be a ways off, there are other needs to get sorted out first like scaling for tablets, and supporting collection list.
But you never know, if another developer wants to help Olivier out I think that would get some things done faster if he is willing to accept help.

Currently there is no Category support in the program. It is only at the beta 0.2 version I'm sure it's on a "to do " list somewhere. Quote:

best regards Shona Until Oliver allows posting on the new site (and with what happened a few months ago I don't blame him keeping it locked down), you can send suggestions to him by direct message off this forum. I would think that would be the most direct way to contact him. As for box sets, I only post the parent and not each disc. This is somewhat labor intensive to set up, yet once done, your good to go: Quote:
This takes some setting up, however, once set up, you can add only those DVD/blu-ray titles that are new. I also use this to eliminate child profiles for TV series.
IN DVD Profiler go to Collection>Flags>Show Flag Indicators
Now comes the tedious part: you check everything you want to transfer over to Droid DVDP. I *KNOW*, annoying and time consuming (and so far the only way I have found to do this - anyone else jump right in with suggestions!).
You can flag all and unflag the child profiles (probably easier). It really comes down to however you want to do it.
Once you have your flags set, go to Collection>Flags>Save Set. NAME THE SET! This will save everything as it is TODAY.
Now when you add new items, after adding them, load the set you saved xyz.set from Collection>Flags>Flags>Load Set. The new items you added should be at the bottom of the list, with flags unchecked. Set the flags and SAVE THE SET. (I use the same name. When prompted to overwrite, Yes).
Now, leave the set loaded. Use the Droid DVDP plugin same as usual with one change: Use Export Only Flagged DVDs.
This should work. It works on my phone. Like I said, worse part is setting it up.
1) You don't have to deal with child profiles. (Example: The Complete Monty Python Flying Circus set - 26 discs!. I don't need them showing in my collection. The main parent works file. 2) The Pink Panther Collection: I did the reverse - The parent is excluded and the children are part of the export. You can set the flags any way you want. 3) Blu-ray + DVD sets I usually exclude the DVD as it's listed on the front cover or slipcover. OK. Probably not what you wanted to hear, however, we have no idea when Oliver will have nested box sets in the program. The above works. I'm using it now. Dave |

| Posted: | | | | I want to thank Oliver(even his apk is a minimum solution) because it was a long time for me to wait for invelos making an android application.
Oliver made a free one and he is Alone to do that.
Invelos is always making us waiting ... I will not say what I thing about that :-( ... because my english vocabulary is too poor ;-) | | | Android 5 Samsung Galaxy S5 |

| Posted: | | | | Been a while since i came on the forum and check if some development was ongoing for Android Have just downloaded the apk and will test it shortly does the application support moving it to sdcard ? Because when i will load my DB which contains more than 3000 DVD, the native storage space of the smartphone might just blow up |

| Posted: | | | | Good news guys : I finally managed to get the main list layout working again (at least for my device ) in portrait & landscape mode (although there may be improvements there), and making a filter on 'genres' working. I just need to store the genre filter so it can be restored when opening filter window again. There will be a release very soon (export plugin & android application). |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting kitarolivier: Quote: New version posted. Please refer to first post. Thank you. Hi Oliver! Issues/comments. 1) Old versions used to overwrite the current version when installed. I guess now you have to uninstall the old version? This also removes your database of movies? 2) Plugin is 0.7. a) I still cannot detect my phone using ABD. I still have to put into disk mode and find DVD_Profiler_is_here. b) I set everything up to do a transfer, looks of, appears to run all right, then error message end: something like "Updatinf cannot be dome when phone is in disk mode" ????!! I thought that bug was taken care of a couple betas ago. As for the update, it looks fine. The search by genre works. There appears to be a slight problem when the selection is unchecked: the "dash mark" doesn't return. At least it didn't until I hit the back arrow. | | | Last edited: by Fingerlakes Dave |
