I still update DVDP when I buy a new DVD.

The amusing thing is that I've almost ceased buying DVDs. Looking at my shelves just now, I can see that I haven't bought a single DVD/BD in 2021!

Am**on-TV & N**flix seem to have taken over completely in the Mole Hill.

I'm the same way  ,, BUT  I do put the streaming titles into my wish list ( vague / least / like to have)  marked ..  this way  i can see the actual movie titles I watched (with the wife) over the months this then creates the least arguments on when and where we did see the title(s)  in the menu board.

I still love physical media because it's better audio and video vs streaming. Streaming has come a long way, but not all the way. Yes, I have Netflix, VUDU, Prime and a Disney+ accounts and yes, I buy some movies on VUDU only vs physical and sometimes VUDU + physical, but I still profile digital only and keep them local.

Here's a recent article that should up today on my feed which shows the downside of streaming even if you "purchase" the content.

Apple sued for terminating account with $25,000 worth of apps and videos

I prefer physical media as well...NOBODY can take that away from me.

I've got nearly 1100 movies and 2500 television episodes on disc...mostly BlueRay. Sure...I've ripped them to my NAS in HD MP4 format, and I'll set them aside in case I need them again...but I have them.

Permanently.

Same with my music...54,186 Files in 4,510 Folders...and ALL mine! Apple can't tell me what to do with them, can't tell me I can't use them on more than 7 devices...

Streaming is all fine & dandy...until your internet connection is down. We lost ours for 3 days during the freeze in February.

I still watched my movies...

I do believe the end is nigh. I submitted a contribution on the 8th, nine days ago, and it still hasn't been processed. It usually happens in 3-5 days...

Anyone else experiencing this?

That could be interpreted as signs of life, since it's something out of the ordinary.

Has anyone voted on the contribution? In my experience contributions without any votes are pending longer than others with at least one yes vote.
Think different

No votes. With votes they are usually processed in 2-3 days, without it's usually 4-5. I have never experienced a 9 day processing time before...

I had contributions which took almost 2 weeks until they were approved. The last contribution without any votes I had took 9 days. So I would say it's still in a normal range but that may also vary from location to location.

Yeah, a new account posted four spam messages, one if them in that thread. The spam is gone now, but it still shows as recent activity (and in the forum list, the spammer stille shows as having written the last message in the threads their posts was removed from)...

Waiting > 10 days is more common in my experience.

Still waiting on that one.

When contributing with votes it will take between 5 and 8 days.
But it all depends on the region I am submitting to, if submitting a U.S. or U.K. release everything will be dealt with much quicker.
