Quote: I have a question for all those with multiple currency types. Is it possible (valid) to have the SRP in one currency and the purchase price in another?
Yes it is possible. I have a release of "Sin City" with location Australia (SRP currency AUS$) which was bought at Amazon.de and thereby paid in €. The program accepts this.
By the problem you just showed up, I got confused too. But you're correct, in cases like mine you won't get any valuable results. So forget I asked. I have another "worse" example: I purchased a Japanese DVD in Germany: SRP: ¥4800 Purchase Price: €59.90 I also often purchase R1 DVDs in Hong Kong... | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Any particular upgrade instructions? Or just uninstall existing and install the new download?

Quote: Mark,
I have a profile showing up as a "Child Profile"" on the summary page when I filter on my Blu ray discs.
How do I figure out which one it thinks is a "Child Profile"?
I am assuming that you are looking at the fact that it is listed as a "sub-profile" to a boxset, yet I do not own any Blu ray boxsets currently.
I'm stumped.
Edit: I tried creating a "manual"profile and adding all of my Blu ray profiles as children, thinking the offending profile would not allow me to add it since it is already" a child profile, but it let me add all of them, which tells me that none are actually "child profiles".
The plug-in still says one is!
I'd get version 1.1, set the media type filter to Blu-ray only, the Box Sets filter to Child Profiles only, then run something like any profile with a runtime greater than 0 or something similar. See if it will show you the profile that way. Thanks, Mark. It's Stargate. I have created a manual "Boxset" for all of my Stargate DVDs and this one is a member. Plug-in working perfectly! | | | Hal |

KM It's always best to use Control Panel to remove the previous version and then install the new, but I believe you can just install over the old if you wish and it will work fine. | | | Hal |

KM I think Hal pretty much nailed it. It's always good to uninstall and reinstall the new code. But it shouldn't be necessary. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Not more than 5 minutes ago it occurred to me that there ought to be a way to identify when the parent and child both have run times assigned. I'll see what I can come up with for version 1.2. I've already started working on 1.2. This morning I tweaked the way the right-click works on a datagrid for selecting rows to copy to the clipboard. Basically, if you right click on a row, it should select it unless you already have multiple rows selected. Very, very minor fix, but it was bugging me. I just opened Excel and mimicked their behavior. And I've fixed a bug where the watched/unwatched queries were including Wishlist items. By default, those queries should automatically ignore Ordered and Wishlist items (regardless of the filters) since it makes no sense to have watched something that you don't physically possess. I'm also still waiting to hear back from any people who buy discs from a variety of currency types. If the SRP is one currency and you purchased in a different currency, how should those be handled in the SRP / purchase price totals on the Summary tab? Not being in that situation, I don't know the best way to handle that scenario. So it will stay the way it is (the purchase price is treated as the same currency as the SRP) until I get some input. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Funny you should mention that. Not more than 5 minutes ago it occurred to me that there ought to be a way to identify when the parent and child both have run times assigned. After refreshing myself with what the rules say, it looks like what is needed is perhaps a query to identify when the run time on the parent profile doesn't equal the run time of all the children profiles. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | I added two new queries for the next version today. The first finds box sets where the running time doesn't match the combined running time of the child profiles. The other finds box sets where the production year doesn't match the earliest production year of the child profiles. Both gave me a disturbingly large number of results in my testing. I never realized just how bad my data was until I started working on this project. My favorite bit of bad data so far (and I don't see how it could be topped) is from the bad name query. It found "John Clair / Cl / Clair" in The Roaring Twenties, (012569-690820). I'm not familiar with all the old actors, but I can't believe that it's correct. I'd fix it myself, but it makes me laugh and I'm busy working on the next version. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Another request, although I might just be missing it: I'd love another filter: profiles with collection numbers
the reason is that I sometimes number the boxset and sometimes the children and basically filtering for numbered items would be the perfect filter | | | - Jan |
