I'm not into programming but maybe someone would find this Idea I have interesting.

As we all know many movies show the cast in the end credits in order of appearance or in some cases even in alphabetical order.

So I was thinking what if there was a plugin that would allow us to show the Cast in those cases in hierarchical order based on the order before the end credits scrolling or at the beginning of the movie.

I think that would be helpful if someone wants to see the main cast of a movie first instead of the minor roles.

Where would the information about the order come from? Maybe I don't understand, but it seems as though a lot of user interaction would be required, so the plugin would be the easy part. Would you actually be willing to do all the work required to sort the cast the way you want it (if other than alphabetical)?

There are already several plugins available that allow you to manipulate cast / crew XML. Load into a spreadsheet, and there you go. What did I miss?
