| Posted: | | | | I have had water damage that ruined quite a number of the DVDs and BluRay paper artwork inserts. I want to print them out. Every film profile in DVDProfiler has good resolution images of both the from and back of that insert page, but as far as I can see, there is no Click to Print Artwork option. I've searched and searched all the menus but can't find an option to print those image.
I have had to use the enlarged image to do a screen shot of both front and back images...cut and paste those into Photoshop, stitch them together then size them to fit either the BluRay case or the DVD case (inexplicibly as everyone know they are frustratingly sized differently). I really can't understand that DVDProfiler doesn't have a quick and easy option to print out an insert sleeve.
Anyone have a better way that the way I am doing it...hopefully from withing DVDProfiler? |

| Posted: | | | | When you go to File -> Open Database, you can find out where your database located
The standard location is in your My Documents folder under DVD Profiler, then Databases, then Default.
In there is a folder called Images where you will find your covers as JPG files. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | It should be quite easy to create your own landscape report with the covers as you'd like, just look at the Downloads/Reports section of the website. Using a landscape report (download, then go into edit mode) to see how to set up the landscape print, then download and inspect, for instance, "Bretts 6 per page" to see where to get your front and back cover images.
The problem is not so much creating something close to what you'd like, but to create something you'd exactly want. Do you want a spine, for instance with the title, rotated? or covers adjacent? As you already found out, there are lots of sizes for the casing, not only height but also and especially the width. That means many spine height/width combinations... You may want to create a few variations for the most common occurrence/reprint-need in your collection.
These variations are, I think, also one of the reasons Invelos never created the "click to print artwork" you wanted. From a thread many years ago, Invelos also wants to avoid copyright infringement issues, that's why the cover spine is forbidden as an image. Also, if a such a print was very easy, slamming the print in the cover of an illegal copy and try to sell it would very probably bring Invelos into problems (accessory to a crime). | | | Eric

This (and the spine images, as you point out) have been specific reasons given by Invelos (and, prior to the company name change, InterVocative) in the past; they don't want to be help potentially responsible for providing help to pirates. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
