Help to retore/rebuild my database

I turned on my computer today and my desktop icon was gone.  I downloaded the program got a new icon, but notthing is my database.  My backup is fairly current and how do i restore my collection.  Can I get a link or instructions on how to do this.

You were smart to have a backup.

Here is what you will see on the "File" menu.

Quote:

Restore Profile Database... In the event of a computer failure, use this option to restore your database and cover images to their prior state. You'll need a backup file created from the above menu item.
You can also use Backup & Restore to move your collection from one computer to another.


There are masses of posts in the Forums about backing up and restoring. Try the web site search if you think you need more info.

I need more help.  I went to file clicked on restore my database, it completed the restore in seconds.  Still no files.  I have over 8000 titles in my previous database and I just want to get them into my existing database.  I need help.

Simple question: did you put your registered name and registration number in the program? If not I  think the unregistered version is limited.

Also, try a database rebuild. Could't hurt.

It looks like your collection is still online so you could always download it from there.

Yes, my collection is still online; all 8000 titles.  However how do I downlaod it to my desktop app?  Thanks for any help.  Steve

Just make sure you check Download and not Upload.
