Is there a way to change the default media type when adding a movie to the collection ?

When I add manually a movie, the DVD, 4K, and Blu-Ray box are checked.

I always uncheck DVD and 4K, to keep only the Blu-Ray.

Where can I set these defaults ?

Whichever format you have selected on this screen will be the default. Set the media format and click on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner, select "Set Default Filters". Of course this means that if you want to search on more than the default you need to manually select more formats.
