I am a very basic user of DVD Profiler (but have been a paid user for quite some time), what I need assitance with is box sets and the listing of individual disks.

Take "Friends: The Complete Tenth Series" as an example, under the profile it lists the 3 individual DVDs as extra items/disks/entries.

However, for seasons 1 thu 9 it does not!

So I have 2 questions:-

1. Can I enable the individual listing of DVD/Bluray disks under each profile with a button click ?

or

2. Can I disable the option altogether and have my moves list without the individual disks ?

I have tried to use the forum search function but it just times out on each search - plus im not exactly sure what so enter into the search box.

Thanks in advance,
Monkey.

First of all a general (well-meant) FYI: this is a user-driven database. So whatever is in it or not in it, was (not) contributed by other users.

1) You can search for child profiles using CTRL-F12. However, of none are attached, it won't find any.
What may be the case is that they just weren't assigned to THIS parent profile. Enter the disc in your DVD drive and check if it's found anyway. Then you open the parent profile (double click) and assign the child under "Box Set Contents".

Alternatively you can serch for them "by title".

2) "Disable" depends on your meaning. You can of course delete any profile you want again, thus all child profiles of boxes. When you add a new box set profile it always asks you if you want to have the children or not.

HTH.

BTW: If you have an American or British "Friends" box all (about) 40 Discs are in the database.

Ok, I just tried the "Ctrl+F12" and that added additional child profiles for a DVD in my collection which is great.

However, is it now possible to refresh the entire collection in the same manner and have the software download the child profiles (where available) for each title ?

Pressing Ctrl+12 on 366 titles individually is not going to happen :O(

Flag your entire collection and then use "Collection>Flagged>Check for Child Profiles"
