Looks like a good plan, but when I tried this for two different DVDs from Amazon Germany (Vorstadtkrokodile 3, Kokowaah), I got error messages about unhandled exceptions.

Sorry, that was my (too) subtle way of saying there's a new version.

Just keep in mind that it is not guaranteed that the delivered article will have that exact EAN. Amazon doesn't keep track of variants and re-releases unless it's really another edition.

US = UPC code
EU = EAN code
Japan = JAN code
