We once again find ourselves ready for a server upgrade.  Our new server is a step up in performance and more importantly has substantially expanded storage to allow for our upcoming rollout of DVD Profiler Online Plus.

There will be a brief downtime later today, and some program functionality may be intermittent.  We're working to minimize this and to make the transfer as smooth as possible.

Really looking forward to the online update!

I realize and understand the "DVD Profiler Online Plus" will be subscription based. Hopefully there will be at least some type of an update to the free online as well.

Times are so tough right now. But the "DVD Profiler Online Plus" will be mine eventually!

I am looking forward to learn what is all about.
And more important the transition to use it.
I haven't got all my entries updated since the last few changes.

With diversity of the profiler users, (nationality, language, tastes, etc.) and ever changing media, it seems an impossible task to please everybody.

Maybe you could use some of the larger collections not only what is loaded to the online db, but how they have used and modified their profiler for their data.  Perhaps they could send you their complete db backup to test, I know I would. Except for tags, genre and addition lists I use the profiler pretty much as is.

Please set it up so we can use both version at time. I got 1.5TB space available on my main drive.
We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.
Ineptocracy, You got to love it.

Don't be too optimistic.
Ken used the word "upcoming" and not his "Coming Soon™".

For me DVDP-O+ is only to be compared to a unicorn -> heard a lot about, but never seen it, and since I grew older I nowadays even doubt that it exists at all. (  )
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

(Bold by me...)

Never seen the first Harry Potter movie, or, if memory serves me well, Legend, or...???

Now I bet you would have a lot of fun in Bielefeld ... I mean if it would exist.

Cosmetic changes to the online database holds no interest for me.

When invelos announces they have addressed the linking problem and allows the community to download the cover scan that matches the one they own, then I will have something to celebrate.

You are assuming that this means it doesn't, this could theoretical tie into both of those issues.

You're right - if they are included this will be the best update ever.

If you're reading this post, you're on the new server. Note that this initial upgrade is hardware only, software/functionality improvements to come...

Please let us know if you spot anything wonky.
