| Posted: | | | | Hello,
I would like to have a personnal view of my collection as a list. I can select the columns I want to see but the column Original title is missing.
How can I have a collection listed with Title and Original title ?
And by the way, why the column Original title is not available ?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.

| Posted: | | | | OK thank you but it is not exactly what I want.
As in the detail, there are two different fields for Title and Original title, I would have two separate columns and not the Title followed by the Original title into brackets...I can't sort by original title in this way...
Is it possible ?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.

You can also edit directly into the spreadsheet and then File->Save Validated Changes Thanks for your answer. It looks nice but it is in an external program...I would have it in DVDProfiler. I don't understand the problem as in the detail of a title, there are 2 different fields for Title an Original title. The problem is that the field Original titre is not available when you want to create your view. But thanks for your help... Regards; Morti |

Morti It is not an external program. It is internal. Plugins are part of DVD Profiler using a special programming interface made available by Invelos to developers under strict rules. In the early days. when I started, I actually had to submit some kind of paperwork. A plugin can do almost anything the main program can do, and you are still inside the main program. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. OK I understand what the plugin is but I don't need another view of my Collection on another support, I just would have in the classical DVD Profiler a view with 2 different colums : Title and Original title. Maybe there is a reason why Original title is not available but apparently it is not complicated...just not present. But thanks for your help, I've added the plugin and that could help me for other things. Regards. Morti |

| Posted: | | | | Hey Morti, you are quite welcome. Good luck. Just FYI, there is another thread: Feature Requests, where it is clear that somebody wants the product to change. In this thread, I assume that people are open to workaround suggestions, to get the technical issue resolved. So, I apologize if I came across a bit harsh. But this has given me an interesting thought. I could create an external version of BulkEdit that uses XML to seed its internal database. Alas, I have absolutely no time for such a project. Man, I would love to see what somebody like Gunnar could so with an external version of BulkEdit. Yum. Hint: Gunnar, your next line in this screenplay is "Challenge Accepted!" | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! Yes if it could work, I'm interested but inside DVDProfiler, not with an external program.
Regards.
Morti Alright, I tested this and it works fine. 1. Click on Tools\Edit Tags 2. Add Tag and call it whatever you want and click OK and OK, in my test case I called it Original Tile 3. Navigate to the profile(s) that have an Original Title 4. Click on DVD\Personalize or just hit Ctrl+P 5. Check the box along side of the Tag you created. 6. Do this for all titles with an Original Title 7. Then bring up find (Ctrl+F) and click on tags then the one you created and that will only show you the profiles with the tag you created. The first time it will take a while to find them all, but from there on out as you add a profile that has an Original Title field check the box. This is part of the DVDP program, not an external program or plugin. I hope this helps. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. | | | Last edited: by mreeder50 |

In this case, I can have a list of the movie that have an Original title...but I can't see the list of the original titles and as I still can't display the field Original title, it doesn't solve my problem. But thanks, I've learned something I didn't know... Regards. Morti |

Morti Alright, add this to the mix, once you have the list of Original Titles tags, go to Tools\Options and on the Display tab, click Title Format\Original Title then Collection\View As List (Ctrl+F1). How does that work for you? | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

Hint: Gunnar, your next line in this screenplay is "Challenge Accepted!" Well, you'll have to settle for not seeing "No way, José" There are a few things that are not clear to me. - What the external BulkEdit would do that your plugin doesn't do. - How I could "seed the internal database"? - What BulkEdit does, exactly. Ok, I think I understand the basic idea, but I have never needed to use it, so there are most likely features that I would have study up on. But you have planted the idea. And those are usually like weed - almost impossible to get rid of. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar | | | Last edited: by GSyren |
